I'm an organizer, a trait on which people have relied for many years. I really like being the organizer and helping people succeed. In fact, I find ways to do this in the community all the time...for free! I had a boss nickname me Radar (Radar O'Reilly from M.A.S.H.) because I have great foresight and have the ability to predict needs well. I like being the one people can come to with a computer question, a looming project, or for help creating a better system.
I tend to be honest and direct when dealing with others. I believe in thorough explanations with the intention of making sure everyone understands. I enjoy helping others and want them to be successful, so I’m frequently asked to train others. Everything I do, I’m looking for the best way to do it and what changes can be made to make it more efficient. I will often create guides to help with training and create consistent processes within the company.
I work best with black and white decisions and tend to make decisions quickly once I feel I understand the situation. I act with integrity and stay focused on tasks through to completion. My influence tends to convey through leading by example and I have a high accountability for deadlines and follow-through.
My career has been spent supporting people in leadership roles. I have felt just as important as they were because I know my skills and support helped them in their successes. There are many times where my boss literally couldn’t have done a job without me. Often my supervisor will defer high-level projects to me to handle. I am often the liaison between the Executive Board and the Directors to facilitate communication and development. I find that very empowering and rewarding.
My goal is to find rewarding ways to get involved in leadership roles. I have been mentoring the Administrative Assistants on campus as needed. Improving communications and social media has been a project of mine. I’m constantly evaluating systems I use for efficiency opportunities. Data Gathering/Reporting has also been a recent project which has required more participation.

ISTJ (Meyers Briggs)“The core of Logisticians’ self-respect comes from a sense of personal integrity. People with this personality type believe that there is a right way to proceed in any situation – and that anyone who pretends otherwise is probably trying to bend the rules to suit their own purposes. Logisticians have a deep respect for structure and tradition, and they are often drawn to organizations, workplaces, and educational settings that offer clear hierarchies and expectations.”
